Jon Tremaine

Badger art by wildlife artist Jon Tremaine

Cornwall contemporary Wildlife artist Jon Tremaine. Jon's unique escapism style of picture in picture pen and ink illustration captures the beauty of wildlife and flora found in and around Cornwall. Jon's wildlife art is skilfully created using a 0.10mm Isograph pen charged with Indian ink, a tool that is more familiar to a draughtsman rather than an artist. Its fine nib allows incredible detail yet is totally unforgiving. Jon Tremaine produces originals art pieces, affordable limited edition wildlife art prints and greetings cards.

Steve Slimm

Steve Slimm artict Cornwall

An artist to inspire artists, Steve Slimm's visionary work over the past 35 years has gained him the reputation of a local master of expressionist landscape painting. Since 2009 he has been featured in national UK art foundation syllabuses for his quality of light. With a particular genius for inspiring artists toward greater freedom of expression, Steve is regularly invited to share his innovative skills with local amateur art groups. For inspiration he predominantly takes the evocative Cornish landscape and coastline. His atmospheric pieces, often bordering on the mystical, have been collected and treasured by art collectors for over three decades. Steve is also a musician, poet, writer and mentor. He lives with his partner in the idyllic Cornish hamlet of Colenso Cross.

Hand on Art

Hand on Art

Cornish art - wildlife and landscape artist Diane Griffiths. My art, your space. Inspired by the beauty of the British countryside I take pride in my work and strive to discover something new in every painting. I’m heavily influenced by impressionism. I love the extravagant use of colour and flowing yet hasty brush strokes. I also aim to inject an emotive and almost allusive air to my landscapes - we’re not just recognising the landscape but recognising an emotion that the landscape evokes. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words; I like to talk to my readers in a glance.

I am a commission artist working from home and have a running exhibition of my work at The Old Inn,St Breward on Bodmin Moor. I work from my studio at home; the sweeping views of the moor give me so much inspiration. Mostly I work in oils and watercolour but also pastel. Very often the discipline of one medium can influence another helping to create a particular image. I would like to experiment with mixed media, perhaps this will be my project for next year. It is very special to be commissioned to paint a portrait. You can see the one that hangs at the HQ of the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust on my website and also many other pictures which include pet portraits land and seascapes. Flower painting is also a love of mine so do contact me. I may be able to paint a picture to suit you.

Natural Silver - wild jewellery from Cornwall

Niki Green makes finely detailed pendants, earrings, bracelets and charms. They are cast in sterling silver from natural objects collected on the Cornish coast such as seashells, feathers, flowers and leaves. “All my work begins with a natural found object which I find beautiful. My aim is to keep all the detail and uniqueness of the original, so I take a very detailed and accurate mould from it and make a life-size prototype. This is cast in sterling silver to produce a solid silver piece of jewellery which retains the qualities of the original”. All the jewellery is made from solid sterling silver with sterling silver chains and findings. Perfect presents for people who love the beach and the sea.

Tracey Hunter Art

Tracey Hunter Art

North Cornwall based artist Tracey Hunter Influences are from the cubist art movement, one of the most significant art movements of the twentieth century. Cubist founders Picasso and Braque reduced their subjects to basic geometric forms, rejecting the traditional philosophy that art should copy nature. Tracey has studied this form using a limited palette, and has adapted the style to suit the environment she finds herself in. Tracey’s paintings have sold internationally and added to many private collections. Exhibits – Market House Gallery – Marazion Fernlea Gallery – St Ives Karensa Art – Padstow Studio - Wadebridge.
